Trials inclusion/exclusion

This page shows how to control the list of trials to be used when scoring

Without control?

Without any trial inclusion or exclusion information, all trials in the original list will be considered.

Inclusion/Exclusion Attribute

Inclusion and exclusion attributes require input of a type in integer form. To work, type declarations should be added on the desired trials. The type declaration and inclusion/exclusion indices must match each other to include/exclude each trial.

Inclusion

When creating a score on a set of trials, it is quite possible to include only some trials to keep only some of them. The solution to scoring only a sub-part of the original list is to add a custom attribute of type "Include trial type"

Adding the attribute

The score should be added before the inclusion attribute is associated with it. In this case, the first score shown will take into account all the trials, before the change, by the addition, causing the score to be recalculated.

Exclusion

In some cases, it is easier to exclude a small number of trials than to try to include a large number. VRmaze provides a second attribute of type "Exclude trial type" that allows to include all trials that do not have a type declaration attribute equal to the exclusion parameter.
