Menus

The various menus are presented as carousels: you can scroll through the options and select them to navigate from one menu to another.

Selection

To select an option and access its content, simply tap the item in the center of the screen.
Some options will ask you to confirm your selection by displaying two buttons at the bottom of the screen: a green check mark to confirm, a red cross to cancel.

Scrolling

Side arrows allow you to scroll through the carousel items.
To facilitate navigation, the order of items is always the same and loops back on itself.

Back

If going back is possible, a small arrow will appear at the bottom right of the screen.
Just tap it to move up one level.

First Startup

This is the menu you will see when starting up your brand-new MindBox for the first time. This menu provides some explanations and asks you to read and accept the End User License Agreement (EULA). Accepting it is mandatory, but it can be done in two different ways.

Reading the EULA online:

The simplest method is to scan the QR code (or enter the link) available in this first menu, using a smartphone or a computer. This link leads to a page containing the EULA, which you can read. At the bottom of the menu on the MindBox, three buttons will appear. Once you have read the agreement, if you accept it, click the “Accept” button. The MindBox will then be unlocked and will function normally. If, however, you do not agree with the terms, click “Decline.” This choice will shut down the MindBox, and the same menu will appear the next time it is powered on. However, if you do not have an Internet connection, there is an alternative way to read the EULA by clicking the third button.

Reading the EULA offline:

You will still need a device capable of connecting to a WiFi network for this method. When you click the “I don’t have Internet” button, a new section of the menu will appear. It explains how to connect to the MindBox’s network. The MindBox is able to generate a WiFi network and host a server independent from the World Wide Web. This is how the EULA page will be displayed. One page of the menu will provide you with the password for the WiFi network specific to your MindBox. Write it down. Later, you will also be given the link (in plain text and as a QR code) to the EULA page. Note it as well. Finally, the MindBox will switch into communication mode. This blocks direct interactions with the device. However, you will see a “MindBox” network appear in the WiFi settings of your external device. Select it and enter the previously noted password. Then, go to the provided link. You will be able to read the EULA there. At the bottom of the EULA page, there is an “Accept” button. Once you accept the EULA, the MindBox will shut down. You may then disconnect from the WiFi network. When you turn the MindBox back on, it will be fully operational.

This is the menu you see when you power on the MindBox.
It offers the following options:

Test Menu

When you tap this icon, a small menu will appear prompting you to choose your user ID.
You must confirm your choice. A similar menu then appears for selecting the protocol.
A blue "Start" button will then appear in the center of the screen.
Just tap it to begin the tests.

Settings Menu

After clicking on the settings icon, a set of submenus will appear and guide you through configuring the MindBox settings.

Results Menu

After tapping this icon, a new menu will ask you to select your user ID, then the protocol you're interested in—similar to the test menu.
The difference is that you don’t need to confirm your selections; also, you can go back easily, like in the settings menu.
You will then access the results menu.
This menu displays the results of your tests for the selected protocol.
The results are grouped by test and by result type.
